At 7:30 am on a windy Wednesday morning in the middle of winter not many people would be too keen on a dip in the ocean.
Around 100 brave MMC students and staff turned up to the Omanu Surf Club in support of the Robert's and Mundy families and their battles with Leukemia. They rallied together and honoured Jed Roberts and Harrison Mundy by performing our school haka before submerging themselves in the water.
A big thank you to all those who showed their support either through taking the plunge or dressing up and donating during the day. We raised just over $1400 for the Leukemia Foundation, an effort we can all be proud of!
A special mention to Terry Cochrane and Loren Riddall from the Sports Dept and to Georgia Akroyd and James Cornelius for organising the very special event.
