Child Cancer Head Shave and Wig Day

MMC Polar Bears and Mufti

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the Polar Bear Plunge on Wednesday!  It was great to see so many year 12 and 13 students down there, braving the cold in memory of Jed Roberts and Harrison Mundy.

It was also awesome to see those who made an effort to dress in orange mufti for the day.

Altogether we raised $1664, which will go towards supporting Leukaemia. These are a couple photos from the Plunge Polar Bear Plunge and Mufti Day The Jed Roberts and Harrison Mundy memorial Polar Bear Plunge will be held this Wednesday 15th June at Omanu Beach Surf ClubWe take the plunge at 8am, so be there dressed in orange and with a$3 donation to take part. You should be back at school for period 2.

This event is only open to year 12 & 13 students and staff, with all proceeds going towards Leukaemia.

There will also be an Orange Mufti Day to support Leukaemia, $3 donations will be collected by period 2 teachers. Talent Quest "Well howwwdy partner!" On Tuesday the 21st of June we'll turn the school hall into an old saloon, so come and give your very best at MMC's annual Talent Quest! Tickets are on sale for$5 by the sports notice board at intervals and lunchtimes.

The show starts at 7pm, remember to dress to theme, which is the Wild Wild West.

Matariki Burgers

Matariki has arrived!

To celebrate, MMC students will be selling fried bread burgers outside the Learning Centre at lunchtime on Tuesday 14th June. Each burger is \$4 and there is a sweet or savoury option so remember to drop by to help us celebrate the Maori New Year!

Free Office!

Good news! All students can now get Office for free and can install it on up to 5 compatible PCs and Macs, plus 5 mobile devices

You can get your copy of Office for Mac or PC by visiting portal.office.com or via the link in the Apps menu on Moodle. Visit install Office on your PC or Mac with Office 365 for installation assistance.

Blood Donors Needed!

Tomorrow, Wednesday 18th May, MMC students will have the opportunity to donate blood from 9.30am till 1.00pm in our school hall.  To be eligible to give blood you must be over 16 years of age, weigh at least 50kg and be in good health.

If you are interested in donating to save a life, and you meet all of the criteria, please see Jen at student reception to sign up!
