National Rock Quest Finalists, Joe's Van, have just returned from the Bay of Islands Jazz and Blues Festival, which they played at over the weekend. They performed extremely well and did Mount Maunganui College proud. If you see Jake, Rory and Cormac, make sure you wish them luck for the National Rock Quest Finals on September 11th in Auckland. Keep up the good work guys!
Congratulations to the girls who competed in the Dance NZ Made competition last night. They took out the Junior category (year 9/10), Senior category (year 11-13), the Open Division and they came in first place overall on the night! You guys did a fantastic job, and we are so proud of the hard work that you have put in to this event. Good luck for the national competition!!!
Today we collected 867 items of non-perishable food. Unfortunately, we did not reach our target of 1000, but as a school Mount Maunganui College made a really valuable contribution. In addition to this, we raised $540.40 which would buy us more than enough cans to reach the 1000 mark anyway! Congratulations to everyone who participated, your efforts were much appreciated by Food Bank, and your contribution is sure to help a family in need.
